Today in Island History
1913 The Island's first Egg Circle is organized in Brooklyn, Lot 61, to co-operate in the production and marketing of eggs and poultry. Eleven more will organize before the P.E.I. Co-operative Egg and Poultry Association is incorporated in 1914. The "egg wagon" soon becomes a common sight in many communities.

Beaconsfield Historic House sits on Kent Street at the mouth of the Charlottetown Harbour and across the street from Government House.

We have three locations that remain open all winter. Drop by the Acadian Museum in Miscouche; Beaconsfield Historic House in Charlottetown or the Eptek Art and Culture Centre in Summerside.
