As the Vice Chair of the Glenaladale Heritage Trust since 2012, Aggi-Rose Reddin has played a pivotal role in the preservation of the over-250-year-old Glenaladale House and Estate - an esteemed historic site with significance not only for Prince Edward Island but also for Canada and the global Celtic diaspora.
Under Aggi-Rose's dynamic leadership, the Glenaladale Heritage Trust successfully mobilized substantial funds, culminating in the acquisition of the Estate in 2018. Her steadfast efforts transformed the Estate into a public asset for the enjoyment and education of Islanders and visitors alike. Since 2018, Aggi-Rose has spearheaded the rehabilitation of the old Schoolhouse at Glenaladale, overseen significant remediation work to fortify the House's structural integrity, and brought Sadie’s barn to life. Her initiatives also include the installation of interpretative panels, allowing visitors to appreciate the national significance of the property.
Notably, Aggi-Rose fostered numerous partnerships across the Island, weaving a network dedicated to the preservation of Glenaladale.
For the pivotal role she has played in preserving Glenaladale Estate, Aggi-Rose Reddin is the recipient of a Heritage Recognition Award.
