Fiep de Bie

Fiep de Bie immigrated to Canada from the Netherlands in 1995 and moved to PEI in 1997. She obtained a Bachelor of Social Sciences from the University of Guelph and is a graduate of the Wildlife Conservation Technology Program at Holland College. Working in tourism in her early PEI years, she thoroughly enjoyed learning about Island history and folklore, and sharing both Island and Natural history with visitors. She works at the Atlantic Veterinary College’s Canadian Wildlife Health Cooperative (Department of Pathology), and the AVC Wildlife Service as a wildlife technician and certified wildlife rehabilitator. Fiep served as a Nature PEI executive and member of the Island Nature Trust Board. In her spare time, she enjoys birding.
