Arnold Smith's Collection of Historic, Vintage & Reproduction Clothing
Officially on display on February 18th, this exhibition showcases a wide range of garments the artist has created and acquired.
About the Artist
Since the summer when he portrayed one of the Fathers of Confederation in 1989, Arnold Smith has been saving and restoring historic and vintage clothing for over 35 years.
Artist-led Workshop Tips and Tricks to Making Reproduction Clothing!
This workshop will take place at the Eptek Art & Culture Centre. Visitors are welcome to view the live demonstration; however, registration is required to participate, and spaces are limited. We are thrilled to have Arnold Smith from his exhibit “Arnold Smith’s Collection of Historic, Vintage & Reproduction Clothing” sharing his knowledge!
In this workshop, Arnold will explain the elements of how to construct period style garments. He will give tips on where to find material, patterns, accessories; and how to adapt blouses, shirts and vests.
This workshop may require intermediate sewing knowledge and is for participants aged 16 and older. For more information call the Eptek team at 902-888-8373.
The Friends of Eptek Centre's Lunchtime Film Series - March 2025
This series runs from October until April. The films are screened on Thursdays at noon. There is no charge for the film presentation.
