Monica Gilks of Stratford holds a Master of Architecture and Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering. Monica enjoys bringing together the technical aspects of a built environment and the amazing stories our communities tell. She wholeheartedly believes that understanding a place's history and its inhabitants' current values plays an important role in the process in conservation.
Monica's experience in architecture and engineering provides a broad skill set for understanding heritage places and she has worked on a variety of projects locally and regionally. Monica is passionate about how the heritage of our communities is preserved, shared, and, in some cases, brought back to life.
